    WEDDING
    FIRST DANCE

    YOUR FIRST DANCE...

Why choose a professional to create your first dance?

Like the cutting of the cake or the best man's speech, the first time you               dance together as newlyweds is a once in a lifetime experience to look

back on and bring even more meaning to your chosen song.

    Me & toby.jpg

    Quality of Service

We are not nationwide, not an agency and I don't employ agency dance instructors.

It is important for me that I can guarantee every instructor I assign to a client is of an equal standard, and has been auditioned and vetted by me personally, so should unforeseen circumstances arise ie an instructor is unwell, your lesson will be covered by an equally experienced teacher.  I work with a small close-knit team linked through our professional dance backgrounds, we work within a one hour commute and keep our client base within easy reach, reducing their travel and keeping our pricing affordable.

    .

What to expect from your dance lesson experience…

Every couple starts out with no idea of what to expect from their dance sessions, from

those who worry about their 'two left feet’ or the most reluctant grooms. However with                   years of experience, I create something as simple as you’re comfortable with or maybe                   you'll decide on a more challenging piece, either way with creative footwork, turns and                   expert instruction on lifts & dips, I promise you that we will create your unique dance.

    Before your lesson…

Once you have decided to make that first dance a part of your day, I will arrange to meet               with you both and discuss the details... chosen song, your ideas of what you would like your           dance to look like, brides's dress(in secret!), will your music be an original recording or

             a live band's cover?

Where would you like to rehearse?

In your home or local hall which I can arrange for you. Your choreography will be prepared             ahead of your first session, any part of your choreography can, of course be adjusted at                 any stage of our practice sessions together, it's essential that you both feel comfortable                 and confident with every part of your dance.

    Hen Party Dance lesson

Choose the bride's favourite song, movie soundtrack or theme or alternatively we can provide a 'mash-up' of a selection of favourites. The choreography will be pre-arranged beforehand and the hen guests are able to learn the routine at a pace that suits everyone; it is supposed to be a fun activity after all! I record the final routine for the group as an extra keepsake to add to the wedding memories.

    WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

    Nick & Vicki
    Stockport, March '24

Victoria was fantastic! She helped my wife and I to nail our dance. She took our song in advance, worked out the choreography so we could maximise our lesson time learning the steps, adjusted the steps to suit our ability level and make us both feel very comfortable and delighted with the end product. Highly recommended!!!

    Ryan & Laura May
    Heaton Moor, Stockport April '24

Vickie was a fantastic teacher from start to finish. She taught us a wonderful routine for our first dance - it was great to have her expertise, and her teaching style put us at ease as a novice couple, whilst ensuring we had enough dance moves to go down well  on our big day! We'd fully recommend her for anyone looking for first dance lessons.

    Lauren & Jonathan
    Manchester, May '24

Vickie was such a great help to us planning our first dance. We had no previous dance experience so just wanted an easy to learn routine, which Vickie choreographed perfectly for us. We really enjoyed our lessons - Vickie is lovely!

    Georgie & Dom
    Macclesfield, June 23

Fabulous lessons with Victoria! Having our first dance lessons was a delightful experience! Victoria was not only talented but also warm & positive - she tailored the lesson to  our  skill level & style , patiently breaking down steps and offering helpful tips. Beyond the dance, Victoria gave us valuable advice on posture and timing. Overall, Victoria's expertise and lovely personality made the lessons both informative and enjoyable.

    Tips before you start...

If you don't have an 'our' song yet then spend some time researching music in plenty of time ahead of our first dance lesson; it'll give more practice time when we get together.

If possible, choose a song with a slower tempo; the faster the music, the faster the choreography and the more challenging the dance. Slower paced music gives more 'thinking time' to the next move.

Bring your wedding shoes along to rehearsal's so you know how it will feel to dance in heels (slippy new soles for the grooms), this will be a different experience to trainers. We provide a practice skirt for the later rehearsal lessons, so you can both get a feel for dancing around the space of a wedding dress.

Have a general idea of what you would like your dance to look like, tempo, style, do you want to give dips & lifts a try, and brides be mindful of your dress style... a fuller skirt will be more restrictive than a silhouette.

    Keep it secret...
Many of our couples have chosen to keep their choreographed dance a secret from family & friends, it definitely adds an extra special surprise on the big day.
